Newfangled Keyword Analyzer?

Printer-Friendly Format

Ok, this isn't a scientifically-supported analyzer, but it's a really cool way to find out what words are being captured in your resume (or any other text you enter into the text box).

Press the submit button and you'll see a neat graphical representation of the words in the text box. They're called word clouds. The bigger the word, the more times it appears.

This is similar to how your resume gets "picked" over "overlooked" by resume-filtering applications to which you submit your qualifications. They search for certain keywords and the more they see them represented, the better the chance that the resume will make the cut.

Want to give it a try? Well, just copy the text from your resume, paste it into the text box below, then click SUBMIT. Review the words that seem to pop out.

Now try copying and pasting the job description from a job posting that interests you. Now which words seem to pop out? We bet they're the ones that are most important...and the one's they'll be looking for in YOUR resume.

Give it a try! Not scientific, but lots of fun and what have you got to lose by testing it out!
Copy the text from your resume, paste it into the text box below, then click SUBMIT:

Click inside of the box, then paste your text here:

To return, click the back arrow () at the top, left-hand side of this window.

Note: Remove personal information. If you decide to save your word cloud to the public library, it will be available to ANYONE.
